Its' development from the first design by John Pratt in 1866, to the later advanced version made by Christopher Sholes in 1864, is a turning point in history and transformed the way we write and share documents entirely. Sholes' typewriter In this era, John Pratt's prototype typewriter was considered incredibly advanced for its time. It was equipped with keys on both sides, and it was these machines that started the process of writing letters on paper. Just imagine the newspapers and office's enthusiasm about this tool—the first of its kind with the ability of automating the writing process.  Blog Post #3 Reflecting on the 8 values of free expression, each holds significant importance in the fostering of an inclusive society. One value pertaining the most to me personally is autonomy. Autonomy empowers individuals to share their thoughts, beliefs, and opinions on not only the government but other concepts, and enables the freedom to do so. It allows for the general  diversity of public discussion and discourse. Growing up, I always held high value for the ability to express myself in a way that was as open and honest as possible.  Blog Post #1: Top Sources of News 1. Apple News is one of my favorite ways to consume media. I personally prefer this news outlet simply for the convenience of it. It's rare that I am without my phone, and Apple News is a program that comes previously installed on iPhones. Additionally, I automatically receive notifications, which makes it easy and convenient to just click on a story that interests me! I think others who haven't used Apple News should, as it pulls articles from completely different news outlets.  2. Tiktok is another application that I frequently utilize. Creators on the app use short videos to spread information, news, ideas, etc. However, the only issues that I find with this type of media is bias and accuracy. People making tiktok's know that due to the short time frame provided to film, they have only a few seconds to grab your attention. Unfortunately, this can lead to exaggerations and/or things being taken out of context for clickbait. However, fo...
